Seven Monarch Healthcare Management Communities Celebrate Bronze Quality Award
Monarch Healthcare Management, based in Eagan, Minnesota, has recently announced a proud milestone in its commitment to quality care. Seven of its long-term care communities have earned the esteemed
2025 Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award from the
American Health Care Association (AHCA) and the
National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL). This accolade reflects an unwavering dedication to enhancing the quality of life for residents in these communities.
The communities recognized include:
- - Bethany on the Lake – Located in Alexandria, Minnesota
- - Crystal Seasons Living Center – Situated in Lake Crystal, Minnesota
- - Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center – Based in Plainview, Minnesota
- - Mala Strana Assisted Living – Found in New Prague, Minnesota
- - Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center – Also in New Prague, Minnesota
- - The Estates at Bloomington – Located in Bloomington, Minnesota
- - The North Shore Estates – Situated in Duluth, Minnesota
Achieving the Bronze award is the first step within a three-tiered quality recognition framework, designed specifically for long-term and post-acute care organizations. This program honors those demonstrating substantial commitment towards quality improvement and resident-centered care.
Paxton Wiffler, the Chief Operating Officer of Monarch Healthcare Management, expressed the team's pride in receiving this award. He emphasized,
"We're honored by this recognition because it reflects what Monarch strives for every day—delivering exceptional, resident-focused care." Wiffler believes that the awards signify the compassion and commitment of the Monarch teams, which continually prioritize quality and care improvements.
To achieve this recognition, each award application underwent a thorough evaluation process by trained examiners utilizing the
Baldrige Performance Excellence Framework, a nationally recognized standard for assessing organizational performance in care services. This rigorous evaluation ensures that only the most deserving organizations receive awards.
Moving forward, recipients of the Bronze Award now have the opportunity to advance to the second tier of awards—the
Silver – Achievement in Quality Award. In total, the state of Minnesota celebrated 26 communities that received the Bronze honor in 2025, showcasing a collective dedication to elevating care standards throughout the region.
CEO Marc Halpert remarked,
"These communities are leading by example—setting a high standard within the Monarch network and helping raise the bar for quality care regionally." His statement reinforces the impact of these communities, exemplifying the standards of excellence and accountability that are prioritized by mission-driven teams to ensure better outcomes for residents.
Formally presented at the forthcoming
Delivering Solutions 25 event, part of the AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo happening from
October 19-22, 2025, in
