Crowdfunding Initiative to Support Abandoned Pets

In a society that is increasingly aging, more individuals find themselves having to part with their beloved pets due to various challenges like moving into nursing homes or facing sudden health issues. This emotional dilemma is becoming more prevalent, with our organization receiving a notable number of requests for help—last year alone, we assisted with four dogs and thirteen cats who were in desperate need of new homes.

Our mission has always focused on providing a loving environment for these animals, but the rising number of cases, often involving elderly or injured pets, means we need your help now more than ever. Many of the animals in our care require medical treatment or rehabilitation to ensure a better quality of life, which imposes financial demands on our small shelter.

To cope with this growing need, we are excited to announce our participation in the GIVING for SDGs initiative sponsored by Sony Bank. This crowdfunding campaign is essential for us to continue rescuing and caring for pets who have lost their homes.

Background of Our Crowdfunding Campaign

The urgency of this campaign highlights the increasing demand for pet-rehoming services. Through collaboration with welfare organizations and emergency pet-sitting services, we anticipate a rise in rescue cases for pets due to circumstances beyond their owners' control. Our shelter, known as Wanko Nyan Nyan House, currently houses about 70 pets. Although there are more cats than dogs, all of them cohabitate peacefully.

Your contributions are crucial. The funds raised will directly aid in covering the medical expenses of pets brought to our shelter by ensuring they receive the care and treatment they need. Every donation matters and goes a long way toward helping us save more animals and provide them with a second chance at life.
