With over 35 years of distinguished career in federal law enforcement and national security, Kavanagh brings a wealth of experience to EisnerAmper. Previously, he served as the head of the CFIUS Monitoring Agency for the Department of Defense. Kavanagh’s impressive background also includes a tenure as an Assistant Director of the FBI and a U.S. Marine Corps officer, where he led high-stakes investigations and collaborated with various agencies across the intelligence and defense sectors.
In the private sector, Kavanagh has successfully advised senior government executives on crucial aspects of national security strategy, law enforcement transformation, and international development while working at a leading global consulting firm. He holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Hofstra University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from St. John's University. Additionally, Kavanagh serves as a faculty member at both Georgetown University and George Washington University, which further showcases his deep commitment to education and leadership.
