Meijer's Voluntary Recall of Children's Sleepwear Due to Safety Standards Violation

Meijer Issues Recall for Children's Sleepwear

In a recent announcement, Meijer, a popular Midwest-based retailer, has voluntarily recalled specific lines of children’s sleepwear under their Lullaby Lane and Meijer Corporate Seasonal brands. The decision follows the discovery that these garments failed to meet proper size flammability standards, a crucial safety requirement in children’s clothing. While the recall is a precautionary measure, it is important to note that there have been no reported injuries associated with these products.

The impacted sleepwear consists of one-piece footed pajamas in sizes 12, 18, and 24 months, featuring zippers and available in various colors. These items were sold between December 28, 2024, and October 15, 2025. Fortunately, sleepwear designed for infants aged 0-9 months was tested adequately and does not fall under the recall.

Meijer urges customers to validate whether their purchased products are affected. To do so, individuals can check the SKU information found on the Meijer website against the labels on their sleepwear. Each item bears a UPC, style number, and production date on a side-seam label. For Lullaby Lane products, the brand and size can be found printed directly inside the garment near the neck. Similarly, MCS-branded items display the season and size in the same location.

Customers who have these products are advised to stop using them immediately. To facilitate a smooth return process, a full refund can be obtained at any Meijer store’s Customer Service desk. In case of any queries about the recall, the retailer has provided a help line at 877-363-4537, which operates daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM EDT.
