On May 11th, 2025, the Tokyu Department Store in Kichijoji will host an exciting event called "Taniku: Explore the Jobs of a Department Store!" This four-hour program aims to provide children with a unique, hands-on experience of understanding the various roles within a department store, all while being under the supervision of trained educators.

Addressing Modern Parenting Challenges

In recent years, the rise of dual-income families and the prevalence of nuclear families have heightened the isolation that many parents feel when raising children. Parents often grapple with the stress and burden that come with balancing childcare and other responsibilities. While temporary childcare services offered by local governments and kindergartens exist, many parents face challenges like cumbersome booking processes or feelings of guilt about using these services. This issue has prevented society from readily accepting temporary childcare as a norm.

This enriching experience is a brilliant opportunity for children aged 4 to 6 to discover the world of retail while allowing parents to spend a care-free weekend knowing their little ones are in good hands with qualified caregivers.
