American Pharmacists Association Elects New Leadership for 2025 Board of Trustees
APhA Announces New Leadership for 2025 Board of Trustees
The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) has made significant strides in enhancing the pharmacy profession through its recently concluded Board of Trustees elections for 2025. The results bring to light the appointment of Brandi Hamilton as President-elect and Kristen Snair as the Pharmacy Technician Trustee, marking a historic moment for the association.
Leadership Excellence
Brandi Hamilton, PharmD, MS, BCPS, FAPhA, hails from Beverly Hills, California and has been an instrumental figure in the pharmacy community for over two decades. Her extensive experience includes her current role as Director of Pharmacy at the California Rehabilitation Institute in Los Angeles, where she leads pharmacy operations and emphasizes patient care. Hamilton’s professional journey began as a pharmacy technician, which laid the groundwork for her future achievements. She earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas and later a Master of Science in Pharmacy Leadership and Administration from the University of Houston.
Hamilton’s leadership credentials are impressive, showcasing her commitment to the field. She previously served as the National President of the APhA Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP), an APhA Trustee, and held numerous roles within the California Pharmacists Association, including a seat on the Editorial Advisory Board of Pharmacy Today and various committees that shape pharmacy policies. "I am honored and deeply grateful for the trust our membership has placed in me to serve as APhA President," Hamilton stated. "I look forward to collaborating with our members and leaders to enhance our profession and the communities we serve."
Pioneering New Voices
Joining Hamilton in leadership is Kristen Snair, CPhT, MSJ, from Glendale, Arizona. Elected as the Pharmacy Technician Trustee, Snair’s role is particularly momentous as she becomes only the second pharmacy technician to serve on the APhA Board of Trustees in its history. With over 27 years of experience in the pharmacy sector, Snair has been actively involved in its regulatory landscape, particularly focusing on 503A and 503B licensing operations at Olympia Pharmaceuticals. Her career began at a young age in an independent pharmacy, where she cultivated her passion for the field.
Snair also has an extensive list of contributions to the profession, which include a long-standing tenure on the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy and active leadership within the Arizona Pharmacy Association. Her initiatives include hosting the AzPA podcast and participating in various committees. “I am honored to be elected to serve on the APhA Board of Trustees,” said Snair. “I look forward to advancing the pharmacy profession through collaboration and advocacy in this new role.”
