CES 2026 Audit Shows Remarkable Participation Growth of 4% Amidst Innovators in Las Vegas
The latest independent audit of the CES 2026, as reported by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), demonstrated a significant increase in participation, reaching a total of 148,392 attendees. This growth highlights CES's status as the epicenter of technological advancement globally, particularly as it welcomes innovators, decision-makers, and investors eager to explore revolutionary technologies that enhance everyday life.
Gary Shapiro, the President and CEO of CTA, expressed pride in this year’s growth, noting how resilient the physical event industry has proven to be, especially after challenging times. Shapiro remarked, "These results exemplify not only the vitality of in-person events but also underscore CES's essential role in connecting innovators with business leaders to shape the future of rapidly evolving industries."
CES distinguishes itself from other events by providing a marketplace where companies can conduct business, unveil products, announce partnerships, and enhance brand visibility all under one roof, attracting an international audience. Notably, 55,841, or 37.6% of attendees, hailed from international regions encompassing 141 countries, showcasing CES as a premier platform for global market engagement.
The impressive attendance figures were bolstered by over 4,100 exhibitors utilizing more than 241,500 square meters of exhibition space, including 1,200 startups from the celebrated Eureka Park, where they showcased innovative technologies of today and tomorrow. Furthermore, the event saw the participation of 307 Fortune 500 companies, more than 7,000 media representatives, and over 2,000 investors scouting for the next big advancements in technology.
The audit reported an increase in interest towards specific technological fields. Notably, 39,929 attendees explored the domain of artificial intelligence, marking a 22% annual increase, while the robotics sector attracted 19,605 participants, reflecting a 26% rise as companies embraced automation and intelligent systems. The marketing and advertising niches also saw considerable engagement, with 13,433 attendees, a 10% annual growth.
Kinsey Fabrizio, CTA President, emphasized the necessity for credible and verified metrics to guide marketing directors and business leaders in how to allocate their resources. “CES is once again recognized as the premier annual business event. The audit results clearly demonstrate that pioneering companies view CES as the prime opportunity for networking, collaboration, and driving business forward,” Fabrizio noted.
Independent verification of the attendance figures exceeds the audit standards set by UFI, the global association of the exhibition industry, which is vital for ensuring trust and transparency among all stakeholders. The CTA encourages exhibitors to request independent audits for any events they participate in to maintain credibility.
For those looking forward, the CES 2027 will take place from January 6 to January 9 in Las Vegas, promising to continue its legacy of being the world's most influential technology event.
