SoftBank's Exclusive Office Tour for Shareholders
On March 9, 2026, SoftBank will host its inaugural exclusive office tour for shareholders. This unique event aims to foster closer connections between shareholders and the company by providing a firsthand experience of SoftBank’s pioneering technologies. The tour, featuring advanced innovations including generative AI and next-generation infrastructure technologies, is open to a selected group of 20 shareholders chosen through a pre-registered lottery.
Meeting Shareholder Requests
The initiative to organize this tour stems from feedback received in a survey conducted in December 2025, where approximately 25% of respondents expressed interest in experiencing technology, while around 26% showed a desire to visit SoftBank’s headquarters. In response to these requests, SoftBank has crafted this special event to offer a deeper insight into its corporate activities.
The tour will take place at the
Executive Briefing Center, an advanced solution exposure facility that is not usually open to the public. Attendees will get the chance to engage with various cutting-edge technologies, including:
1. Domestic Generative AI - Sarashina
Sarashina is a large-scale language model (LLM) developed by SB Intuitions, a SoftBank subsidiary. This innovative AI has been trained to understand Japanese cultural nuances and expressions, allowing it to generate natural language text and respond correctly to context. Visitors will learn about Sarashina’s unique features and potential applications during the tour.
2. AI-Powered Social Robot - Pepper+
Since its debut in 2014,
Pepper, a humanoid robot, has become an integral part of environments such as homes, businesses, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities. With the introduction of
Pepper+, set to launch on February 2, 2026, this upgraded AI version can engage users more effectively. During the tour, shareholders will interact with Pepper+, experiencing the innovative ways technology can resonate with human emotions.
3. Next-Generation Infrastructure Solutions - WOTA BOX and WOSH
In alignment with its commitment to addressing social issues, SoftBank is also introducing sustainable infrastructure technologies. The
WOTA BOX and
WOSH are revolutionary solutions that can recycle up to 98% of wastewater. These systems allow for water reuse without relying on traditional water supply lines, making them particularly effective in disaster situations.
This tour represents SoftBank's ongoing efforts to deepen its relationship with shareholders, ensuring they feel closely connected to the company’s activities.
