Gibbs, to its Board of Directors. This development underscores WYC's commitment to expanding its global reach and enhancing the impact of its programs dedicated to empowering youth worldwide.

Leadership Profiles

Joseph E. Gibbs, a well-respected entrepreneur and co-founder of The Golf Channel, brings an impressive track record of success and strategic vision to the organization. A graduate of the University of Alabama, Gibbs started his career at Price-Waterhouse, where he led the tax practice in Birmingham. His ventures in the 1980s included co-founding several successful cable and cellular companies that saw their equity grow from $95 million to over $450 million. The highlight of his career was co-founding The Golf Channel alongside golf legend Arnold Palmer, which under his leadership expanded to over 120 million subscribers and is currently valued at over $40 billion. Additionally, he is the founder of Gibbs Investments LLC, a venture capital firm established in 2001.

On the other hand, Curtis Marks adds over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience and innovation in the human capital industry to the board. As the founder of Click Boarding, Marks transformed the applicant onboarding landscape, going beyond conventional software solutions. His previous company, Verifications, Inc., made substantial contributions to the employment screening sector, serving 48% of Fortune 100 companies globally. His efforts have earned his companies numerous accolades, including recognition from The Business Journal's Growth 50 Private Companies and Fast 50 lists.
