Sky Labs Introduces 'CART ON' for Advanced Blood Pressure Monitoring in Hospitals
Sky Labs Unveils 'CART ON': A Revolutionary Blood Pressure Monitoring Solution
In an impressive innovation for healthcare, Sky Labs has officially launched 'CART ON', the world's first blood pressure monitoring solution designed specifically for hospital wards. Announced on February 10, 2026, the device utilizes ring-type technology, allowing it to monitor patients continuously and automatically manage their blood pressure data while they are admitted to the hospital.
The introduction of CART ON marks a significant expansion for Sky Labs, moving beyond its existing markets in outpatient and general consumer healthcare to address the pressing needs in hospital patient monitoring. By incorporating this ward-specific solution into its lineup of certified medical devices, which already includes the ‘CART BP pro’ for clinic use and the ‘CART BP’ marketed to the general public, the company now provides a comprehensive range of options for measuring blood pressure in a variety of settings.
CART ON is equipped to streamline the traditionally cumbersome process of monitoring blood pressure in medical environments. It replaces conventional cuff-based methods with an innovative ring-type blood pressure monitor. This breakthrough means healthcare professionals can prescribe the notification system to patients who require continuous monitoring (MAPA) without the inconvenience of traditional cuffs.
The device features an integrated photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor, which enables it to automatically take blood pressure readings. This patient data is then synchronized with Seers Technology’s patient monitoring platform, ‘thynC’. The information collected is transmitted in real time to the nurses' station dashboard and stored within the hospital's electronic medical record (EMR) system for further analysis.
A significant collaboration for this new technology comes from the agreement with Daewoong Pharmaceutical, a leading South Korean pharmaceutical company that has secured exclusive rights to distribute 'CART ON' across the nation's hospital networks.
Sky Labs has ensured robust clinical and technical reliability by performing comparative clinical trials against established methods such as auscultation, standard 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), and invasive arterial lines. Particularly noteworthy is the trials against the invasive line approach, regarded as the gold standard for blood pressure measurement, demonstrating that CART ON retains accuracy even during significant blood pressure fluctuations.
The implementation of this cutting-edge solution is set to enhance the effectiveness of healthcare staff across medical departments. By automating data entry and reducing the likelihood of manual input errors, nurses can devote more time to essential patient care activities like medication management. Physicians, in turn, can make more informed diagnostic and therapeutic decisions based on precise and repeatedly measured data.
Moreover, patients are expected to experience a significant improvement in comfort. Traditional cuff-based monitors can often disturb necessary rest, due to pressure and noise during readings. In contrast, CART ON allows for measurement without such disturbances, even allowing patients to move freely during the monitoring period. This non-intrusive method is a game changer, enabling continuous monitoring of blood pressure without the constraints associated with traditional devices.
Jack Byunghwan Lee, CEO of Sky Labs, emphasized the importance of this development, stating, "CART ON is a solution that enhances the efficiency of managing hypertensive patients within hospital services through clinically proven technology." He further noted that the company’s commitment lies in advancing vital sign monitoring technologies, including blood pressure, to foster an intelligent care environment that elevates both medical worker efficiency and patient comfort.
Founded in September 2015, Sky Labs has rapidly evolved within the healthcare technology sector. Initially recognized for developing CART, a device focused on monitoring atrial fibrillation through optical sensor signals, their innovations have consistently aimed at improving chronic disease management. By 2023, they successfully launched ‘CART BP pro’, a 24-hour blood pressure monitor, which has expanded into clinical settings across Korea, fully supported by necessary medical insurance protocols.
In September 2025, the company extended its product lineup with the introduction of ‘CART BP’, a ring-type blood pressure monitor aimed at home users, available through both its official online store and other e-commerce platforms. As healthcare technology continues to evolve, Sky Labs remains at the forefront, progressively developing solutions that align with modern medical needs and patient comfort.
