FlyUSA Announces $100 Million Jet Card Recovery Initiative for Private Flyers Facing Fund Losses

In a significant step aimed at restoring confidence among private aviation customers, FlyUSA has unveiled its $100 Million Jet Card Recovery Program. Designed specifically for private flyers stranded by lost access to prepaid funds held by other aviation providers, this program eliminates the need for new deposits, allowing customers to start flying again more easily.

Barry Shevlin, CEO of FlyUSA, emphasized that those who have experienced significant financial loss with other aviation services should not be required to trust another provider with yet another large deposit. "We're not asking them to trust another company with a large prepaid balance. They can pay as they go, and we'll earn their trust one flight at a time," he stated.

Key Features of the Program
Under the Jet Card Recovery Program, qualifying customers will receive a complimentary FlyUSA Gold Membership, which is valued at $4,995, and will only need to pay for their flights as they book them. This eliminates the usual requirement to make large prepaid deposits often associated with private jet services. As an added benefit, participants earn 20% of their flight spend back in promotional flight credits, which can potentially allow them to recover up to 100% of their prior stranded balance. For instance, a customer with a verified $100,000 stranded balance could earn up to $100,000 in flight credits through $500,000 of qualifying spend with FlyUSA.

The announcement comes amid ongoing concerns about the stability of prepaid funds in the private aviation sector. Just recently, another private jet broker, ONEflight International, paused services, potentially leaving many customers without flight options. Shevlin expressed frustration over repeated incidents that leave customers stranded and highlighted the industry’s need for a more responsible approach to managing clients’ funds.

Building Trust with Flexibility
The Jet Card Recovery Program is crafted to ease the hesitation of private flyers who may be wary of prepaying funds after a negative experience with previous providers. By allowing customers to retain control over their funds until they are ready to fly, FlyUSA aims to provide a trustworthy alternative. As Shevlin put it, "You've already been asked to trust someone with your money once. We're not asking you to do it again. Keep your money until you need to fly."

FlyUSA operates its aircraft under a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 135 certificate and is well-regarded for its aircraft management and private jet charter services. The company also assists in sourcing aircraft through a nationwide network, ensuring customers have access to the planes they need, regardless of their flight requirements.

Program Availability
The FlyUSA Jet Card Recovery Program is available to eligible customers nationwide without the need for a new jet card deposit. To participate, customers must provide and have their documentation reviewed confidentially to establish their previous aviation provider’s unused or inaccessible balance. The program is set to run under a maximum aggregate cap of $100 million.

Interested individuals can visit FlyUSA's website to learn more about the program and apply or email their inquiries for further assistance.

As private aviation continues to evolve, FlyUSA is leading the way with innovative solutions aimed at fostering trust and reliability among its customers, focusing on the unique needs of business leaders who cannot afford to experience disruptions in their travel plans.
