Nagaokakyo Hospital's Upcoming Health Seminar

Nagaokakyo Hospital, operated by Central Medience, is excited to announce a health seminar scheduled for June 26. This seminar focuses on health improvement through rehabilitation, particularly following the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. With growing awareness around health and well-being, this initiative aims to provide the local community with expert knowledge on maintaining health through exercise.

The seminar series began in June 2023 and has been well-received, encouraging regular engagement with health professionals. This year, our seminars center around the theme of "Health Improvement Through Rehabilitation Professionals: Supporting Your Journey with Exercise."

This will be the 12th seminar in the series, featuring Mr. Tomoya Kaneko, the head of the Rehabilitation Department at Nagaokakyo Hospital and a certified physical therapist. He will discuss effective strategies for health improvement through exercise and lead the audience in practicing the "Otokuni Bamboo Shoots Exercise," a unique movement program devised by local rehabilitation experts. Participants will also undergo simple fitness assessments, providing insights into their health status. Attendees are encouraged to come in comfortable clothing and bring their questions for Mr. Kaneko to address during the seminar.

Additionally, on the same day, a nutrition consultation will be conducted by a registered dietitian, further supporting holistic health improvement.

The previous seminar hosted by Mr. Kaneko in June 2022 focused on the correct approach to exercise and was so popular that it filled to capacity on the registration day, prompting an additional session. We highly recommend early registration for this upcoming seminar as well.

Recap of the January Seminar

In January, a notable seminar was organized by Dr. Makiko Shinomoto from our neurology department, focusing on headaches, particularly for those suffering from migraine and other types of head pain. 24 participants attended, benefitting from vital insights about headache categorization, signs of serious conditions, and preventive strategies for migraines. Attendees expressed appreciation for the informative session and recognized the importance of seeking professional care for their headaches.
