New Art Exhibition: Kakiotoshi Ten
A thrilling new exhibition featuring celebrated young artists Karin Hosono, Shotaro Sanada, and YU SORA will take place from March 28 to June 28, 2026, at the Starbucks Café & Art Gallery Yanaka Goten-zaka. This exhibition, known as Kakiotoshi Ten, aims to celebrate the grand opening of the unique café and gallery combined space, located in the charming neighborhood of Yanaka, Tokyo.
Artist Introductions
Karin Hosono
Karin Hosono was born in 2002 in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture. A graduate from Tama Art University where she majored in oil painting, she began her artistic journey at an early age with a focus on cats. Her work is characterized by a distinctive touch influenced by her observations, aiming to create pieces that embody “cats that are 120% more cat-like.” In recent years, she has also ventured into creating three-dimensional works, further broadening her artistic expression.
Shotaro Sanada
Born in 2000, Shotaro Sanada graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and is now studying for a master’s degree at the University of Tokyo. His artwork is inspired by the theme of
