On April 6, 2025, Yu Fujiki, the president of Brycen Co., Ltd., participated in the half marathon at the VnExpress Marathon Hue 2025 held in Hue, Vietnam. This event featured over 10,000 runners and aimed to promote the cultural heritage and tourism of the historic city.
Fujiki’s Challenge and Performance
Fujiki was invited by Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, the Chairman of the Communist Party Committee of Thuan Hoa District in Hue, due to his contributions to the community. Emphasizing “challenge” and “change” in his everyday life, this was his first experience participating in a half marathon.
Starting at 4 AM, he navigated through the picturesque old and new towns along a historic route. Approaching the 16 km mark, he began to feel pain in his legs, prompting him to slow down and walk for about a kilometer. However, he persevered and finished the race in 2 hours and 38 minutes.
After completing the marathon, Fujiki candidly admitted, “It was honestly quite tough, but I want to prepare better and challenge myself again next time.” He expressed a renewed appreciation for the importance of preparation, stating, “If you prepare well, it’s a valuable experience regardless of the outcome.” Fujiki’s reflections highlighted the lessons learned and his enthusiasm for future endeavors.
