Celebrating Innovation in Digital Transformation: Takihyo's Remarkable Achievement
In a significant recognition of individual contributions to digital transformation, Hinako Yamaguchi from the marketing and DX promotion teams at Takihyo Corporation has been awarded the
AI Impact Award during the prestigious
Japan DX Awards 2026. Hosted by the Japan Digital Transformation Promotion Association (JDX), this award honors the trailblazing efforts of individuals who have driven DX initiatives forward.
Yamaguchi, who has no formal engineering background, exemplifies the power of self-directed learning and reskilling. Through her dedication, she achieved AWS certification and leveraged Generative AI (AWS GenU) to internally develop solutions for Business Intelligence (BI), demand forecasting, and impact measurement. Her initiatives resulted in an impressive monthly reduction of 450 hours in labor across the company, alongside being recognized as an official AWS case study.
A key aspect of Yamaguchi's recognition lies not only in the tangible outcomes of her work but also in how she demonstrated the capacity for AI to significantly enhance individual capabilities. Her journey has sparked a culture of learning and challenge within Takihyo, encouraging colleagues to explore their own potential and capabilities.
The
Japan DX Awards 2026 Summit & Awards, where the ceremony will take place on July 23, will feature a poster session showcasing Yamaguchi’s transformative work titled, “Driving Digital Transformation in a 270-Year-Old Heritage Company.” Here, she will speak about building an organization that embraces challenges and facilitates the internalization of generative AI development by non-engineers.
In response to the fast-changing business environment, Takihyo is committed to fostering a culture where employees are encouraged to pursue continuous learning and given opportunities to expand their possibilities. The company’s efforts underline the significance of individual initiative in the face of digital transformation within various sectors of society.
