Dive into Summer Festivities at Royal Park Hotel's Afternoon Tea
From August 1 to August 31, 2026, the Royal Park Hotel in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, invites you to indulge in a unique
Summer Festival Afternoon Tea at its 1F Lobby Lounge,
Fontaine. Alongside this delightful tea service, patrons can enjoy a luxurious offering of shaved ice from July 1 to August 31, featuring a variety of flavors crafted by talented pastry chefs.
A Fusion of Japanese and Western Sweets
This afternoon tea captures the essence of traditional summer festivals, with a delightful combination of Western-style desserts and Japanese flavors. The experience begins with a stunning top tier display featuring chocolate sculptures, including a whimsical representation of a turquoise-headed octopus selling takoyaki against a backdrop of fireworks. These
gold chocolate takoyaki are elegantly paired with a coffee-flavored sauce that adds a subtle bitterness, while bonito flakes and green seaweed are whimsically recreated with colored chocolate flakes.
Next, delight in a
lemon jelly designed to resemble a goldfish bowl, where the toasted aroma of hojicha crumble enhances the refreshing acidity, making it a perfect treat for the hot summer days. Accompanying this is a
Ten no Kawa yokan, showcasing the gentle sweetness of white bean paste in a summery hue, resembling the Milky Way.
The middle tier features exciting, playful elements inspired by summer fun, including an airy
shiroyuki, reminiscent of floating super balls, and a raspberry and white chocolate-pistachio verrine that draws inspiration from juicy watermelons. This tier also includes
chocolate banana marshmallows and a
chocolate tart mimicking mosquito coils, contributing to the festival's dreamy atmosphere.
On the bottom tier, you’ll find savory delights, with highlights such as a
corn terrine infused with the rich fragrance of soy sauce, classic festival-style frankfurters, and grilled chicken skewers offering savory flavors synonymous with summer stalls.
To complement the experience, freshly fried potatoes flavored like butter soy sauce, along with two types of scones (plain and tropical-flavored with pineapple and coconut), will be served on the side. Each afternoon tea experience also comes with a selection of 18 varieties of
Sumikuro Tea and refreshing
ramune drinks.
Additionally, guests who arrive wearing
yukata can enjoy a special 20% discount on their group's total bill, an exclusive offer for those who make reservations directly with the hotel.
