Camden National Bank has announced that they are now accepting nominations for the 2026 Leaders & Luminaries Awards, an initiative designed to honor exemplary nonprofit board members in Maine and New Hampshire. This annual awards program aims to highlight and reward the significant contributions made by these leaders to their communities through their service on nonprofit boards.

This year, five distinguished board members will each be rewarded with a $5,000 grant for their respective nonprofit organization, amounting to a total of $25,000 in grants distributed to these impactful groups. According to Renee Smyth, the Chief Experience and Marketing Officer at Camden National Bank, "Strong communities are built by people who give their time, talent, and leadership to help others." She emphasized that the Leaders & Luminaries program recognizes individuals whose governance and vision permit organizations to expand their impact and enhance their communities.

2. Board Membership: Nominees must currently serve as board members of their respective organizations and cannot be employees of the nonprofit nominated.
3. Geographical Focus: The nominated organization must be located and functioning within Maine or New Hampshire. For national nonprofits, the nomination must come from a branch that operates within these states.
4. Restriction on Nominations: Camden National Bank employees are not allowed to nominate or be nominated. Additionally, prior award recipients are ineligible to be nominated again for a period of five years.
5. One Nomination per Organization: Each organization is limited to submitting only one nomination, fostering a competitive yet fair selection process.
