Envision Energy Launches Innovative EN ACSkid-10000 at Smarter E Europe 2025: A Leap Towards Renewable Power Integration

Envision Energy Unveils the EN ACSkid-10000 Power Conversion System at Smarter E Europe 2025

In a groundbreaking announcement at Smarter E Europe 2025, Envision Energy, a prominent global name in green technology, introduced its latest product, the EN ACSkid-10000 Power Conversion System (PCS). This innovative system is precisely designed to cater to the shifting dynamics of renewable energy grids, establishing a new benchmark for grid-forming technology, resilience in environmental conditions, and performance efficiency.

A New Milestone in Power Management

The EN ACSkid-10000 reflects Envision's 16 years of expertise in power electronics and supports its history of successfully implementing over 100 GW of installations in more than 20 countries. According to Kevin Huang, Senior Vice President at Envision Energy, the advent of a renewable-focused future necessitates technology that is both high-performing and resilient across various operational scenarios. He stated, "This solution empowers operators to stabilize grids, facilitates rapid integration of renewable sources, and opens new avenues for advanced grid services."

Key Features of the EN ACSkid-10000

  • - Advanced Grid-Forming Abilities: The system features synthetic inertia, which stabilizes frequency and manages rapid variations. Its enhanced short-circuit capacity and robust grid stability enable fault ride-through capabilities. Additionally, it can provide stable voltage waveforms that minimize both local and wider oscillations.
  • - Autonomous Restoration and Revenue Opportunities: With its Black Start capability, the PCS can autonomously restore grid functionality after outages, allowing operators to capitalize on new revenues with services centered around grid stability, inertia response, and frequency support.
  • - Environmental Durability and Low Noise Operation: Aiming to cater to sensitive environments, the EN ACSkid-10000 operates at a mere 56 dB(A) by utilizing specially designed low-noise components. It possesses an IP65 rating and C5 anti-corrosion credentials, ensuring resilience against salt spray, dust, and harsh elements, while delivering performance consistently across various temperature extremes.
  • - High Performance and Efficiency: It offers an industry-leading power density of 5.05 MW per PCS, significantly improving site utility and reducing physical footprint. Moreover, it provides between 4 to 20 seconds of inertia support, coupled with a capability to withstand 1.5 times the rated short-circuit current for 10 seconds, which guarantees better stability and reliability necessary for grid-forming applications.
