Texas Association of Builders Celebrates Leadership and Excellence
On November 7, 2025, the Texas Association of Builders (TAB) hosted a spectacular event at the Hyatt Regency in Austin, marking a significant occasion in the Texas homebuilding industry. This event celebrated the installation of the association's new president for 2026 and recognized outstanding leaders and contributors to the Texas housing sector.
Installation of the New President
Chris Lyons, president of HOME by Lyons based in Amarillo, was officially sworn in as the 79th president of TAB. As he takes the helm, he succeeds Brett Martin, who led the association in 2025. Lyons' role is pivotal as he and the newly formed Board of Directors are set to guide TAB's mission, uphold the organization's bylaws, and promote advocacy for the homebuilding industry in Texas.
The new senior officers include:

- - Vice President/Secretary: Sam Mezayek of Mezayek Building Development in Tyler
- - Treasurer: Justin MacDonald from MacDonald Companies Inc. in Kerrville
