LifeCare Development Begins Construction on New Senior Community in Texas

LifeCare Development Commences Construction on The Blake at College Station

LifeCare Development has officially broken ground on its latest project, The Blake at College Station, marking another significant milestone in its dedicated mission to provide exceptional senior living services. The groundbreaking ceremony, held on May 13, brought together notable figures, including representatives from LifeCare, Blake Management Group, and the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce.

Located in the serene Lake View Acres neighborhood of College Station, Texas, this new community is designed with a focus on upscale, hospitality-driven living for seniors. The facility will span an impressive 100,576 square feet and will feature 117 units — comprising 73 assisted living and 44 memory care units. This modern community aims to deliver an enhanced living experience for seniors, ensuring they receive the utmost care in a setting that feels welcoming and luxurious.

Project Team and Vision
The collaborative efforts between LifeCare Development and Blake Management Group are evident in the design and operational framework of The Blake at College Station. Adam Mitchell, Managing Partner of LifeCare Development, expressed enthusiasm regarding the project, stating that it is a pivotal step in their growing development pipeline:
“College Station represents another meaningful step in LifeCare's growing development pipeline. We are proud to move this project into construction alongside Blake Management Group and our team of project partners.”

The partnership aims to cater not just to the needs of residents but also to enhance the local community by creating jobs and fostering an environment of engagement among residents. As noted by Royce Hickman of the Bryan/College Station Chamber, local leaders lent their support, reinforcing the importance of such developments in enhancing the quality of life for seniors in the area.

Design and Development
Designed by the reputable Arrive Architecture Group, The Blake has been conceptualized as a state-of-the-art community that reflects LifeCare's commitment to innovative senior living solutions. Ridgemont Commercial Construction has been appointed as the general contractor, ensuring that the construction aligns with the high standards set by LifeCare. Trustmark is providing the necessary financing to see this ambitious project through to completion.

Scheduled to open its doors in early 2028, The Blake at College Station promises to be a hub of comfort, care, and community. The project not only reinforces LifeCare's mission but also the legacy of Blake Management Group, which has been a proven leader in senior living solutions since its inception in 2007.
