Nagatani En's Highlights from the 2025 Sichuan Fest
Nagatani En, based in Minato-ku, Tokyo, proudly participated in Japan's largest Sichuan culinary festival, the
Sichuan Fest 2025, held over May 10th and 11th at Nakano's Mapo Tofu shopping district. This festival, organized by the Sichuan Fest Executive Committee, has gained popularity since its inception in 2017, attracting nearly 500,000 visitors throughout its history.
At this year's fest, Nagatani En showcased two key products:

Today's Special: Medium Spicy Sichuan Mapo Tofu – a new release from March 2025.
2.
Spicy Mapo Harusame – a beloved long-seller that has been part of the brand's offerings for 44 years.
Why Participate in the Sichuan Fest?
Nagatani En's participation wasn't merely about culinary display; it was an opportunity to connect directly with customers. The aim was to share the quality and appeal of their products through personal interactions. Employees expressed their excitement, saying they wanted to engage with visitors and demonstrate the deliciousness of their dishes firsthand. They hoped to strengthen teamwork across various departments within the company during this festive occasion.

A Culinary Experience
On both days of the event, a team of 26 enthusiastic young employees from various departments volunteered to partake in this culinary celebration. They generously offered 1,200 samples of the Today’s Special: Sichuan Mapo Tofu and 800 samples of the Spicy Mapo Harusame to eager visitors, alongside conducting feedback surveys.
The response was overwhelmingly positive, with visitors expressing their enjoyment of the dishes. This direct interaction with customers was invigorating, providing valuable insights into their preferences and experiences.
