Tech Touch Hosts Successful Second Edition of Tech Touch Grand Prix in Kansai Area

Tech Touch Grand Prix Kansai 2024: A Celebration of Innovation



The Tech Touch Grand Prix, organized by Tech Touch Co., Ltd., took place successfully in the Kansai region, showcasing the company's innovative digital adoption platform. With over a year since the previous event, this second edition brought together 19 participants from 12 leading companies across diverse industries, including manufacturing, retail, finance, and infrastructure. The Concept Behind the Grand Prix



Dubbed as the ultimate challenge, the Tech Touch Grand Prix involved teams navigating through a deliberately poorly designed website categorized as the 'Worst Site.' This challenge required participants to conduct a time trial, ultimately competing for supremacy based on who could guide a user through the site most efficiently. Each team, comprised of 3-5 members, had a limited time of 90 minutes to complete a series of tasks:

1. Site Analysis: Evaluating the website to pinpoint areas where users typically struggle.
2. Design: Crafting a guidance system to improve user experience at critical points.
3. Implementation and Testing: Developing and testing the guides to ensure seamless functionality.

This year's event was a platform for participants to showcase their technical skills, exchange knowledge, and rediscover the potential of Tech Touch in real-world applications.

A Competitive Environment



As the event began, a thrilling atmosphere filled the venue. The Vice President of Customer Success, Kakihata, kicked off the event with a motivating speech, followed by a briefing on rules by Okubo from Customer Success. Participants quickly immersed themselves in the challenge. Phrases like “What is this?” and “This is too difficult…” filled the air as teams confronted the atrocious UI of the worst site, causing both confusion and amusement.

Despite the light-hearted beginning, seriousness quickly took over as time passed. Although snacks were provided, the teams were focused, hardly touching the treats as they engaged deeply with the tasks. Closer to the 10-minute mark, teams scrambled to finalize their guides and troubleshoot issues, with the tension rising as they strived for a successful outcome.

Trials and Triumphs



After the implementation period, it was time for the trial phase. Each team's creation was tested by Tech Touch employees acting as users, connecting remotely. Cheers erupted when the guides worked effectively, while other moments sparked discussions on improvements when users encountered issues. Teams quickly adapted to feedback, showcasing their problem-solving prowess in real-time.

The Moment of Truth



After a lively trial session, it was time for the results and awards. The prestigious title of 'Master Guide Designer' was awarded to Team D, comprised of members from 7-Eleven Japan, Panasonic Information Systems, and Chubu Electric Power Grid, for their impressive timing and effective guidance.

While Team C did not win the overall title, they received a special recognition award for creativity and design, highlighting the importance of leaving a legacy in their implementations.

The awards ceremony concluded with a presentation of best practices by Tech Touch's customer success team, showcasing the newest functionalities and design insights. Participants were energized, thrilled to discover new ways to leverage Tech Touch in their operations.

Networking and Future Prospects



Post-event discussions flourished during a networking session, where participants eagerly shared challenges and strategies regarding guide creation. Feedback echoed positivity and collaborative spirit:
