Envision Launches World's First Commercial Shipment of Green Ammonia to South Korea

Envision Initiates Green Ammonia Revolution

In a historic move for sustainable energy, Envision, a leader in green technology, has launched the first shipment of green ammonia from Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, to LOTTE Fine Chemical in South Korea. This unprecedented delivery represents the world’s first commercial-scale supply of green ammonia, showcasing a fully integrated value chain that includes renewable hydrogen synthesis and international maritime logistics.

The ammonia is produced at Envision's Chifeng facilities, recognized as the largest global production base for green hydrogen and ammonia. Operating on a state-of-the-art renewable energy system, the facility utilizes advanced physical artificial intelligence to manage solar and wind power efficiently, ensuring a stable supply for hydrogen and ammonia synthesis.

Yimin Lou, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer of Envision Energy, emphasized the shipment’s significance: "This vessel carries more than just ammonia; it reflects our dedication to a sustainable future. The successful launch of this initial vessel demonstrates that the green ammonia value chain is no longer just a plan, but a tangible reality. Using physical AI to harness the extensive renewable resources of the Gobi Desert, we can now supply carbon-free fuel to the world, starting with our partners in South Korea."

LOTTE Fine Chemical's CEO, Seung Won Chung, also commented on the monumental occasion, stating, "The commercial introduction of green ammonia is attracting global attention, transcending business and national boundaries. This milestone is historically significant, marking the beginning of establishing a green hydrogen and ammonia value chain, seen as a leading solution for transitioning to carbon-free energy in response to the climate crisis. We will continue to collaborate with global industry leaders to lay the groundwork and become Asia's main clean ammonia hub."

Envision currently supplies 320,000 tons of green ammonia annually, with exports slated to start in the fourth quarter of 2025. By 2028, it is projected that the industrial park will generate 1.5 million tons of green ammonia every year, serving as a replicable model for clean industrial centers worldwide.

The green ammonia produced by Envision has received prestigious certifications, meeting rigorous industry standards, including ISCC EU, ISCC PLUS, and RFNBO regulations. Additionally, Envision leverages proprietary AI technology within its wind-to-hydrogen conversion system to maximize efficiency and reliability throughout the entire energy conversion process.

This groundbreaking project was highlighted during the 2026 World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, presented as a flagship case study in the WEF white paper titled "From Plan to Reality: How to Deliver a Stronger Business Case for Energy Infrastructure," underscoring its global benchmark role in carbon-free industrial transition.
