On August 8, 2026, Animate Akihabara will officially reopen its doors after a substantial renovation aimed at enhancing the shopping experience for anime and gaming enthusiasts. New Features of the Store

The renovation introduces an expanded range of features, especially focusing on character goods and popular collectibles. The ANNEX building will showcase two dedicated floors for the new POP @P CAPSULE -AKIHABARA- which highlights capsule toys for every collector's delight. Spanning the B1 and 1F levels, this area promises to offer an expansive selection of items for the avid enthusiast. Visitors can follow updates on new items and featured selections through the store’s X account, ensuring they never miss out on the latest additions.

Character Merchandise Floors

In addition to the capsule toy collection, the 4th to 7th floors will host various official shops and seasonal event spaces. Of particular interest is the character goods floor on the 2nd and 3rd levels, primarily focused on merchandise from popular gaming franchises.
