Huasun Energy Surpasses 10 GW in Global Shipments, Pioneering HJT Solar Technology

Huasun Energy Achieves 10 GW Global Shipments

In a groundbreaking achievement for the solar energy sector, Huasun Energy has announced that it has surpassed 10 GW in cumulative shipments of heterojunction technology (HJT) products as of December 2024. This impressive milestone underscores not only Huasun's commitment to innovation but also reflects the growing adoption of HJT technology in the global energy transition.

During 2024 alone, Huasun delivered an impressive 6 GW of its HJT products, which includes over 1 GW shipped in December. This rapid growth highlights the significant impact that HJT technology is having in shaping the future of solar energy. Xiaohua (Jimmy) Xu, the CEO of Huasun, expressed his pride in this achievement, stating, "$10 GW showcases our strategic vision and technological excellence. We are confident in reaching the next 10 GW milestone quickly, leveraging the power of heterojunction technology to accelerate photovoltaic energy’s evolution into a primary energy source."

Founded in 2020, Huasun has established itself as a leader in HJT innovation, making significant advancements in the field of microcrystalline solar cells, both monofacial and bifacial configurations, as well as in technologies like HBC and tandem HJT-perovskite cells. The company's robust portfolio includes over 300 patents, positioning Huasun at the forefront of enhancing photovoltaic efficiency and industrial advancement.

A crucial factor contributing to Huasun's success is its solid production capabilities. As of December 31, 2024, the company's state-of-the-art 20 GW HJT monocrystalline silicon factory located in Yinchuan, China, successfully produced its first silicon ingot. This development marks a significant step toward a fully integrated HJT supply chain, spanning from silicon ingots and wafers to solar cells and modules.

Huasun's five production bases in Xuancheng, Dali, Hefei, Wuxi, and Yinchuan are expected to propel the widespread application of HJT technology into the future. In the past year, Huasun secured over 10 GW of tenders from major Chinese state-owned enterprises, including China Huaneng, China Green Development, and PowerChina. The company's products are now powering solar projects in more than 60 countries and regions worldwide, including Europe and Asia, and are instrumental in driving the global transition to a sustainable, low-carbon future.

Huasun's dedication to research and development, coupled with its innovative technology, has led to an outstanding average mass production conversion efficiency of over 26% for HJT solar cells. This places Huasun among the leaders in the solar industry, further solidifying its reputation as a pioneer in the renewable energy landscape.
