New Student Graduation Kimono Rental Service for Elementary Kids Launches!
Kanko Gakuseifuku Co., Ltd., based in Okayama, is excited to announce the launch of a rental service for elementary school graduation kimonos on December 15, 2025. This initiative aims to make graduation ceremonies more vibrant and memorable for children, catering to the growing popularity of wearing kimonos during these significant milestones.
Embracing Tradition with Convenience
In recent years, the trend of wearing kimonos for elementary school graduations has gained traction across Japan. However, many parents express uncertainties regarding rental locations and the complexities associated with fitting and preparation. To address these concerns, Kanko is offering a rental service that includes easy dressing options and a complete set of garments.
Customers can apply through six physical stores, including the Kanko Shop in Harajuku, and also conveniently online, ensuring that everyone has access to these beautiful garments just in time for their child's special day.
Features of the Rental Service
1. Diverse Choices
The service features a selection of eight original kimono designs paired with five color options for the hakama (traditional pleated pants). Parents can mix and match to find the perfect outfit, with sizes available in SS, S, and M to fit various heights.
2. Ease of Dressing
One of the highlights of this service is the simplicity of dressing up. Parents will not need to buy or carry any dressing tools; the kimonos can be put on easily by following instructional videos, making the process stress-free.
3. Comprehensive Full Set Rentals
The rental includes everything needed for dressing: a kimono, juban (under kimono), a drawstring bag, sandals, and all essential components. This full set ensures that parents are well-equipped without having to make extra purchases.
4. Flexible Application Options
Whether you prefer touching and seeing the items in a store or browsing selections from home online, the rental process is designed to be accessible and flexible. Additionally, after the graduation ceremony, returning items is hassle-free as cleaning is not required, making this a convenient option for busy families.
