Kolmar Korea Wins Prestigious Innovation Award at CES 2026 in Beauty Technology

Kolmar Korea Secures Top Honors at CES 2026

Kolmar Korea, a pioneering force in the cosmetic industry, has made headlines by winning multiple prestigious awards at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026, renowned as the world's largest technology showcase. The company’s cutting-edge Scar Beauty Device, which employs artificial intelligence, not only grabbed the Best Innovation Award in the Beauty Tech category but also earned the Innovation Award in the Digital Health category. This double accolade highlights the company's competitive edge and innovative spirit in the beauty tech sector.

CES 2026, held in Las Vegas, showcased the latest advancements and technologies, where Kolmar Korea’s device stood out among ten finalists in the beauty technology category. The Best Innovation Award, the highest honor conferred at CES, recognizes products with exceptional scores across criteria such as innovation, design, and technological excellence. Kolmar Korea became the first cosmetics firm to achieve such recognition, marking a significant milestone in the global cosmetics industry.

The Scar Beauty Device: An Innovative Solution

The Scar Beauty Device is not just another gadget; it's the world's first comprehensive solution for scar treatment and skin care, integrating both functionalities into a single unit. Traditionally, users would first treat scars with ointments and then apply makeup to hide them. However, Kolmar’s device enables users to simultaneously treat scars and perform aesthetic coverage within a mere 10 minutes. This advancement is a game-changer for consumers seeking efficient beauty solutions.

At its core, the technology harnesses big data analysis powered by artificial intelligence and utilizes piezoelectric micro-dosing technology. Users can take a picture of their scar using a smartphone application, and the AI algorithm classifies the scar into one of 12 categories while conducting a detailed condition analysis. Based on this diagnosis, a tailored treatment solution is precisely administered.

In addition to treatment, the device mixes and dispenses an optimal combination of over 180 skin tone-matching colors, allowing for perfect cosmetic coverage. The piezoelectric micro-dosing technology operates similarly to inkjet printing, delivering materials through electrical signals without generating heat, ensuring a highly precise application.

User-Centric Design and Accessibility

Recognized for its intuitive user interface, the Scar Beauty Device allows consumers to monitor and control the amount of product applied in real-time through a smartphone interface. Its design prioritizes ease of use, making beauty care accessible to everyday consumers, thereby enhancing its convenience and relevance.

Future Plans and Commercialization

Looking ahead, Kolmar Korea aims to complete the technology rollout in the first half of 2026 and initiate full-scale customer acquisition in the latter half. The company is also focused on further refining its software to apply core piezoelectric micro-dosing technology in custom cosmetic manufacturing while accelerating intelligent factory development through government-backed AX (AI Transformation) research initiatives.

A representative from Kolmar Korea commented, "Winning the Best Innovation Award is the result of our research bridging technology with a human-centered user experience aimed at solving real-world challenges. We will continue to expand AI, IoT, and big data technologies in cosmetic development and services."

The representative concluded, "By continuously implementing differentiated solutions in beauty technology that integrate AI and digital innovations, Kolmar Korea aims to lead global trends within the cosmetic technology industry."
