Continued Provision of 'FamiOne' for Pregnancy Support Services in Oshima Town

Continued Provision of 'FamiOne' in Oshima Town

In a significant move for reproductive health services, the Tokyo-based healthcare support company, FamiOne, has announced the continuation of its 'Pregnancy Support LINE Service' in Oshima Town for the fiscal year 2027.

With a vision to create a society where everyone wishing for children can walk a path to happiness, FamiOne offers a range of support services focusing on employee welfare within organizations and support for local residents through municipal programs.

Nestled at the northern end of the Izu Islands, Oshima Town encompasses the entirety of Izu Oshima and has committed to addressing not just pregnancy and infertility treatments, but also a wide scope of health-related concerns. These include adolescent health, menstrual issues, infertility, mental health, and couple communication, among others.

One key highlight of this program is the anonymous consultation feature that allows residents to seek advice without any restrictions on age or gender and without limit on consultation frequency. The service can be accessed easily through LINE, providing a seamless way for residents to maintain their health habits and seek advice.

Furthermore, the FamiOne premium plan is offered to residents at no cost, allowing unlimited text and call consultations. This online support system enables individuals to connect with qualified professionals for personalized advice, ensuring that the health of Oshima residents is well-supported.

Remarks from the Coordinator

Despite the remote nature of Oshima, the initiative is successfully conducted through online platforms, making medical consultations and seminars accessible to islanders. The presence of specialists fosters a sense of closeness among community members, allowing for safe and anonymous discussions.

The sex education classes facilitated by professionals provide opportunities for students to reflect on their own lives, and the coordinator expressed a desire to continue these efforts going forward.

Feedback from Seminar Participants

During the 2026 fiscal year, FamiOne conducted sex education workshops for third-year middle school students, titled “To You Graduating from Junior High School — Learning about Life Protection.” Held on January 27 and February 10, 2025, the workshops featured certified psychologists and clinicians. The aim was to equip students with knowledge and skills essential for their growth and personal safety.

Participants shared their thoughts:
  • - "This made me reconsider my views on sex; thank you."
  • - "The discussions covered topics often omitted in school, and it was very informative."
  • - "I was able to think carefully about my body and mind again, and I hope to share what I learned with others."

Overview of FamiOne Welfare Services

FamiOne combines organizational culture development with individual support. The welfare service empowers companies to enhance employee literacy through seminars while also providing personal online health consultations. This dual approach promotes health management and support for balancing personal and professional lives, especially for women in the workplace.

Employees of companies that have implemented the FamiOne service can consult with external nurses, psychologists, and career consultants on various topics without concern for judgments and in a confidential environment. This enhances psychological safety and is anticipated to improve employee satisfaction while encouraging early discussions regarding personal concerns.

Additionally, FamiOne offers seminars and training to all employees to elevate overall company literacy. Recognizing that around 70% of female employees desire greater understanding from supervisors and colleagues regarding unique health challenges, FamiOne aims to spread accurate knowledge to support broader community health initiatives.

Since launching its corporate welfare program in September 2018, FamiOne has expanded its offerings to companies such as Odakyu Electric Railways and TBS Welfare Association, as well as to Sony and All Nippon Airways (ANA). The program has also been implemented in municipalities across various regions including Yokosuka City in Kanagawa, Nagasaki Prefecture, and areas in Tokyo like Suginami and Setagaya.

This service is not a medical practice and does not provide diagnoses or prescriptions.
