EVE Energy Unveils Comprehensive Energy Storage Solutions at Global Event in Beijing

During a pivotal industry event held in Beijing, EVE Energy unveiled its latest innovations in the energy storage sector, signaling a major development in large-format battery technology. The highlight of the event was the launch of the 6.9MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), designed for high performance and safety. This system, recognized as part of EVE Energy's Mr.Big family, is housed in a standard 20-foot container and boasts a remarkable 10% increase in energy density compared to prior models, delivering an impressive cell-level volumetric energy density of over 430Wh/L.

The new system represents not just a leap in energy efficiency but also a significant reduction in physical size. Through strategic structural optimizations, the BESS has minimized its footprint by 6%, translating into substantial cost savings of roughly RMB 2.6 million per station on initial investments. This innovative design additionally ensures a robust lifespan of 10,000 cycles while maintaining a 70% state of health (SOH), with temperature differentials managed to within 5°C. These enhancements are achieved through advanced active balancing and precision thermal management technologies.

Safety and Compliance

On the safety front, the 6.9MWh BESS sets a new benchmark with its comprehensive 1,500V DC full-voltage five-level protection system. EVE Energy has integrated an active safety solution that combines artificial intelligence, multifaceted detection capabilities, and a staged fire suppression system that provides closed-loop management from initial warning through to fire control. This extensive safety protocol underscores the company’s commitment to producing reliable and safe energy storage solutions.

Accompanying the product launch, CSA Group officially certified EVE Energy’s 628Ah large-format battery and its associated 5MWh BESS after successful testing against stringent international safety standards, including CSA/ANSI C80025, UL 9540A, and NFPA 855. This certification process validates the systems' resilience against extreme fire conditions, ensuring enhanced safety and reliability in operational environments. Additionally, EVE Energy's products, including a 261kWh outdoor integrated storage cabinet and the S6900 BESS, achieved international CB, CE, and AS certifications, paving the way for broader market entry overseas.

Strategic Partnerships and Future Directions

The event proved not just to be a platform for product launches but also for expanding EVE Energy’s strategic horizons. The company announced significant partnerships with five leading firms in the energy sector: Beijing Goldwind Zero Carbon Energy Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Jinko Energy Storage Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Linyang Energy Equipment Co., Ltd., China Energy Construction Energy Storage Technology (Wuhan) Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Ronghe Yuan Energy Storage Co., Ltd. These alliances are set to focus on the development of large-format batteries and core energy storage products, with a total contracted volume exceeding 50GWh.

EVE Energy’s cohesive approach towards advanced energy storage technology and strategic partnerships illustrates its determination to lead the market effectively. As it rolls out these new innovations and navigates significant agreements, the company is poised to strengthen its capabilities in high-capacity energy storage, working collaboratively with global partners to enhance the energy storage industry ecosystem. With these developments, EVE Energy is not just participating but shaping the future landscape of energy storage solutions.
