The event, organized by the Japan Food Newspaper Association, showcased the finest in prepared foods, and Summit's offerings shone brightly. The company's "Angus Beef Sukiyaki & Dashimaki Tamago Nori Bento" triumphed in the "Our Company's Proud Side Dish and Bento" category, pocketing both the Gold Award and the Special Jury Award. This dual recognition sets a high bar for competitors in the industry.

The centerpiece of Summit's success is undoubtedly the Angus Beef Sukiyaki & Dashimaki Tamago Nori Bento. Crafted to perfection, this dish features a generous serving of fluffy dashimaki tamago cooked in a rich broth, served without cutting it, creating an impressive presentation on top of the rice. Moreover, the gentle yet flavorful Angus beef sukiyaki, made with care in-store, complements the bento perfectly. The abundance of nori adds a satisfying element to the meal that leaves customers feeling truly fulfilled. This standout bento is priced at 698 yen (tax included: 753.84 yen).

Another winner for Summit was the Taiwanese-Style Grilled Dim Sum Set, which includes stick gyoza and garlic chive buns. Featuring ingredients sourced within three days of harvest, the chive buns focus solely on the rich flavors of garlic chives and cabbage, avoiding other aromatic vegetables intentionally. The stick gyoza, stuffed with pork and finely seasoned cabbage in oyster sauce, are expertly cooked to achieve a delightful crispiness. This enticing set is available for 498 yen (tax included: 537.84 yen).

Rice Ball Section Winner: Boneless Grilled Mackerel & Spicy Cod Roe Onigiri


Finally, the Boneless Grilled Mackerel & Spicy Cod Roe Onigiri stole the spotlight in the rice ball category. Utilizing fresh boneless salt mackerel from the fish market and high-quality, uncolored spicy cod roe, this onigiri is crafted with care. The mackerel is grilled to perfection in-store and then enveloped with rice alongside the spicy cod roe and takana (pickled mustard leaf). The rice used is a sweet, sticky variety of domestic rice. This fantastic onigiri is priced at 298 yen (tax included: 321.84 yen).
