Seminar for Your Future: Unlocking Opportunities

Are you curious about what the future holds and how to navigate your career path? Mark your calendars for this exciting online event: "Explore Your Future" seminar, happening on April 28, 2025, from 19:30 to 21:00. This engaging 90-minute session will be led by the renowned data scientist, Keisuke Fujimoto, who currently serves as the lab head at ABEJA, a venture company specializing in AI implementation.

A Seminar Designed for Students and Parents

Hosted by Nagase Co., Ltd., the organization behind the prestigious Toshin High School and Toshin Satellite Prep School, this seminar is free and aims primarily at high school students and their parents. Even if you're not enrolled at Toshin, you're welcome to join and benefit from this unique opportunity to explore new career horizons.

Discover the New Professions of the Digital Era

This seminar is part of a monthly series intended to broaden students' perspectives and inspire them to discover and pursue their dreams. Each month, leaders who are creating new value in various sectors share their insights through a live Zoom presentation, complete with a Q&A session. Previous speakers have included data scientists, white-hat hackers, and machine learning engineers, reflecting the diverse opportunities available in today's job market.

Meet the Speaker: Keisuke Fujimoto

Keisuke Fujimoto has an impressive academic and professional background, with a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Electro-Communications. He joined Hitachi, Ltd. immediately after graduation, focusing on research and development in autonomous control robots and computer vision. In 2016, he transitioned to ABEJA, where he has since been leading innovative AI projects and contributing to exciting developments such as large language models for the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry.

Seminar Focus: Creating vs. Consuming

Fujimoto will delve into a thought-provoking question: When you want something, do you become a consumer or a creator? With advancements in technology, the line between these roles is blurred. He will share his journey, highlighting how curiosity and a desire for creativity can drive technological innovation. His experience, from creating a roulette game in elementary school to leading a lab, emphasizes the importance of asking, "Why create?" rather than just focusing on technology itself. This foundational question underpins his approach to designing products and solutions that meet real-world needs.

This lecture is particularly valuable for students uncertain about their career paths. Fujimoto will address concerns like, "How can I find a job that's right for me?" and, "What does it mean to enjoy my work?" Participants will also have the chance to engage with him in a Q&A session after the talk, ensuring that their specific queries are addressed.

How to Register

For those interested in joining this transformative experience, advance registration is required. Check out the Toshin.com website for the latest information and to sign up for the seminar.
