Peking University HSBC Business School Reaccredited by AACSB and AMBA
In November 2024, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) confirmed that the Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS) has received reaccreditation for the maximum duration of five years. This marks a significant achievement for the institution, which continuously strives for excellence in business education and research.
The reaccreditation process involved a thorough peer review which took place in June 2024. A dedicated evaluation team engaged in extensive discussions with the school's administration, focusing on key areas such as the school's vision and mission, strategic development, teaching, research, faculty development, talent culture, personnel management, social responsibility, and overall impact. During this review, the team held 17 in-depth conversations with various stakeholders, including program directors, faculty members, students, alumni, and employers. This collaborative dialogue was vital in gathering diverse perspectives on the school’s performance and obtaining valuable recommendations for improvement.
The evaluation team applauded the significant progress made by PHBS in recent years, noting its leading educational facilities and outstanding academic research outcomes. Furthermore, they recognized the school’s achievements in internationalization, employability competitiveness, and its commitment to social responsibility. In addition to these strengths, the team provided constructive suggestions for ensuring the sustainable growth of PHBS moving forward.
In a parallel development, the Association of MBAs (AMBA) also confirmed in May 2024 that PHBS has successfully attained reaccreditation, again for a five-year term. This dual acknowledgment from both AACSB and AMBA reinforces PHBS's position as a premier institution in the realm of business education, dedicated to delivering high-quality learning experiences.
