Experience the Beauty of Connection at the Tsurukawa OMOTENASHI Festival 2025!
Mark your calendars for October 19, 2025, as Machida City welcomes you to the third annual
Tsurukawa OMOTENASHI Festival! This vibrant event promises to celebrate the theme of "Connecting Market"—an exciting concept that encourages the sharing of treasured items, thoughts, and emotions among attendees. Since its inception in 2019, the festival has blossomed into a beloved community gathering that promotes not only local culture but also the bond between people.
What's in Store?
The festival will be held at various venues, including Tsurukawa Kouzanen, Busso-so, Kaki-an, and the Minna no Kominka, as well as at the tea room Kyoshin-tei and Michinobe Park right in front of Tsurukawa Station. Each location will showcase unique cultural activities that highlight the connections we create:
- - Kouzanen: Hosting the "Connecting Market" where food trucks will offer delightful treats.
- - Busso-so: A vintage market will take place here, filled with treasures that reflect our shared history. Please note, the market will close when items are sold out.
- - Kaki-an: This is where you can explore a second-hand book fair and an antique library in collaboration with the Tsurukawa Library Community Facility, "Tsurubon".
- - Minna no Kominka: Entertainment awaits with performances by Yanagiya Kohaze Rakugo and the Ippukuza Kamishibai.
- - Kyoshin-tei: Join in a Matcha tea experience coupled with a warm hospitality tea ceremony. Here, you can also purchase tea ceremony tools, craft items, and delicious Seijou pudding.
- - Michinobe Park: Visitors can find information about the festival along with tasty coffee, light snacks, and local vegetables from Machida.
