Huawei Introduces Enhanced Stellar Intelligent Fabric in Europe at HNS 2026

Huawei's Stellar Intelligent Fabric Debuts in Europe at HNS 2026

The Huawei Network Summit 2026, held in Florence, Italy, served as the platform for Huawei to unveil its latest innovation—the enhanced version of the Stellar Intelligent Fabric, specifically designed for the European market. This revelation came amidst discussions among industry leaders centered around building next-generation open data center networks, a topic vital for the evolving tech landscape.

During the conference, Bingyu Zhou, the Vice Director of Huawei European ICT Marketing Solution Sales Department, emphasized the transformative impact that intelligent technologies will have on various industries over the forthcoming decade. He noted that the capabilities of Huawei's data center networks, characterized by their impressive scalability, high bandwidth, automated management, modular architecture, and energy efficiency, play a crucial role in supporting Europe’s digitalization efforts while adhering to environmental strategies.

The commitment encapsulated in the mantra "In Europe, For Europe" reflects Huawei's dedication to collaborate with local partners. This collaboration is essential for the construction of open network infrastructures that can meet the demands of modern data centers.

Highlighting the challenges faced by data centers, Johnny Cheng, Vice President of Data Center Networks at Huawei, pointed out that the exponential growth in scale and complexity within data centers has made operational efficiency and service continuity more difficult to maintain. To address these challenges, Huawei introduced the Stellar Intelligent Ultra-Resilient Fabric, a solution that employs the advanced StarryWing Digital Map 2.0 and Rock-Solid Architecture 2.0 technologies. This innovation facilitates the creation of intelligent, open network structures designed to eliminate single points of failure and ensure critical workloads remain protected.

The presentation included insights from Mesut ÖZCA, a solutions manager at KoçSistem, who shared the successful collaboration with Huawei focused on enhancing the resilience of their data centers against failures. With the use of StarryWing Digital Map technology, they implemented a network topology that connects multiple data center sites, thus improving overall robustness.

Moreover, Aldo Artigiani, a technical expert from OEHI’s interconnection working group, highlighted the critical role of artificial intelligence in ushering in an era of intelligent technologies, underpinned by a solid AI infrastructure. The collaboration among international organizations, including ITU-T and OEHI, in developing Ethernet standards for AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) is expected to enhance overall performance while optimizing total cost of ownership (TCO).

Artigiani's call to action for industry stakeholders revolves around adopting open Ethernet standards and fostering collaborative efforts towards the advancement of technology. Looking forward, Huawei is set to promote open cooperation while implementing technological innovations that contribute to the development of data center architectures. This initiative not only aims to support enterprise transformation but also to foster sustainable economic growth in the digital landscape.

In summary, Huawei's launch of the Stellar Intelligent Fabric at HNS 2026 underscores its commitment to advancing data center technology tailored for the European market. By embracing intelligent technologies and forging strong collaborations, Huawei aims to lead the charge towards a resilient and efficient digital future.
