A Unique Exhibition: Scent and Literature Combined
From January 23rd to 25th, 2026, Tokyo's vibrant Shimo-Kitazawa will host a special exhibition titled
"The Library of Space and Fragrance", celebrating the launch of HAA's new product:
"HAA for Rest - Scent of Space". This initiative highlights the intimate connection between scent and literature, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a serene atmosphere designed to calm the mind and spirit.
HAA's latest product,
"Scent of Space", promotes the notion of everyday relaxation by introducing gentle scents into daily life. The company has developed three unique fragrances that correspond to three specially crafted spaces within the exhibition. Attendees will have the chance to experience these aromatic zones, each inspired by a selection of three carefully chosen books curated by the acclaimed author
Rei Nagai.
About the Curator: Rei Nagai
Rei Nagai is a prominent figure known for facilitating discussions that encourage reflection and thought among individuals. With notable works such as
"Philosophers Underwater",
"Appropriate Preservation of the World", and
"Apologies for Loneliness", Nagai has established himself as a significant voice in contemporary literature. His passion for poetry, botanical gardens, and thoughtful walks enriches his perspective on the connection between literature and the sensory experience of scent.
The Fragrance Experience
The
"HAA for Rest - Scent of Space" series consists of three distinct scents crafted from a blend of 8 to 15 natural essential oils, culminating in a 100% natural aroma product. Additionally, the offering includes a hand cream and a roll-on aroma, designed for easy application and use in daily life. HAA aims to deliver a nurturing experience that encourages deep breathing and relaxation, promoting a conscious pause in the fast-paced rhythm of modern life.
