K1 Speed and Its Mascot Jolie Donate Nearly $250,000 to Animal Welfare SPCA Organizations
K1 Speed's Philanthropic Milestone: Supporting Animal Welfare
In a heartwarming development, K1 Speed, the world's largest indoor go-kart racing operation, alongside its official mascot Jolie, has made a remarkable contribution of over $235,000 to ten independent SPCA organizations nationwide. This initiative celebrates the corporate philanthropy and the bond between K1 Speed and the community as they collectively strive to enhance animal welfare.
A Legacy of Compassion
K1 Speed's achievement of raising almost $250,000 in 2025 is attributed in large part to Jolie, the beloved 19-year-old Coton de Tulear, who is considered the world's oldest of her breed. Jolie joined the K1 team in 2006, when the company expanded from just two locations in Carlsbad and Irvine. Through all of K1 Speed's growth, she has stood as a symbol of loyalty and heart, reinforcing the company's commitment to community service and animal advocacy.
Susan Danglard, Co-Founder and CMO of K1 Speed, articulates the significance of this donation, emphasizing the vital role independent SPCA organizations play in ensuring that resources directly benefit local communities. “Supporting animal welfare aligns with our company values, and it has been rewarding to witness the positive impacts of our contributions on improving the lives of animals,” she stated.
Fundraising Through Community Involvement
The substantial donation, amounting to $235,236.67, was generated through silent auctions held at various K1 Speed locations throughout the United States. These auctions featured sports memorabilia and were executed in collaboration with Charity Benefits Unlimited (CBU). Each of the ten SPCA organizations receiving funding will benefit from an equal share of $23,523.67, allowing them to enhance their operations and resources for animal rescue and rehabilitation.
The organizations benefiting from this initiative include spcaLA, SF SPCA, SPCA of Texas, Greater Charlotte SPCA, SPCA Florida, Pennsylvania SPCA, Richmond SPCA, Nevada SPCA, Louisiana SPCA, and SPCA of Tennessee. K1 Speed continues to encourage contributions to SPCAs and similar organizations, urging communities to engage in the campaign against animal cruelty.
K1 Speed's Vision for the Future
Founded by David and Susan Danglard in 2003, K1 Speed has established itself as the premier indoor go-kart racing venue, boasting over 107 centers across 32 states and 10 countries. The company prides itself on offering a unique entertainment experience featuring electric go-karts, which present not only efficiency and performance benefits over traditional gas-powered karts but also align with environmental sustainability goals.
In addition to its racing offerings, K1 Speed centers provide various amenities including food and drink options, arcade games, and karting leagues, enhancing the overall customer experience. The K1 Speed E-World Championship is a highlight event that aggregates riders from all centers and features the most substantial single-event prize in competitive karting.
By prioritizing both entertainment and charitable contributions, K1 Speed sets a standard in corporate responsibility, emphasizing that success is not only measured by financial gain but also by the positive impacts made within communities. As they look ahead, K1 Speed commits to furthering their philanthropic efforts and expanding their support for animal welfare initiatives across the country.
For those interested in contributing to animal welfare, K1 Speed suggests searching for local SPCA organizations to make a meaningful impact in fighting animal cruelty and advocating for the rights of all animals.
