AlphaESS Expands Energy Storage Ecosystem for European Markets at Intersolar 2026

A New Era for Energy Storage in Europe

AlphaESS has recently concluded Intersolar Europe 2026, presenting a comprehensive vision of its aspirations within the European energy storage market. With over a decade of operations focused on local markets, the company is now expanding its product lines to cover a wide range of usage scenarios. This transformation moves beyond just manufacturing storage solutions towards creating added value through software, connectivity, and ecosystem integration.

During the Munich event, AlphaESS showcased its latest innovations, including the STORION-LC-TB150 storage system, designed for commercial and industrial applications, alongside the Aster 6260 model tailored for large-scale deployments. This includes the AlphaConnect platform, which connects batteries with partners and energy markets.

This unveiling marks a significant shift from standalone battery systems to integrated storage installations. As energy costs rise, grid pressures increase, and tariff complexities redefine the landscape, AlphaESS emphasizes solutions that merge local experience with high-performing products and digital integration. These features enhance solar energy integration, modularity, and energy optimization.

The STORION-LC-TB150 claims particular attention for its design meant to cater to daily operations in commercial environments. Boasting a nominal power rating of 150 kW/313 kWh, this liquid-cooled all-in-one system delivers clean energy to factories, offices, and commercial buildings. The system operates quietly, producing noise levels equal to or less than 60 dB(A)—comparable to a normal conversation—thereby allowing installation close to daily activities without disruptive noise. Additionally, it meets the performance standards of UL 9540A regarding fire safety and can endure up to 12,000 cycles.

In the realm of large-scale projects, AlphaESS combines product development with implementation expertise. With a long-standing presence in Europe, supported by local teams and partners, the company has embarked on larger projects. For instance, a 320 MWh project in the Czech Republic, covering the sites in Chvaletice and Kladno, showcases its capability to handle significant implementations. This experience is leveraged in the Aster 6260 project—a liquid-cooled platform with 3.13 MW/6.26 MWh designed for high-density deployment, featuring integrated safety functions, remote commissioning, and AI-based operation and maintenance.

Software development is viewed as the next step in value creation. AlphaConnect serves as a connectivity layer between installations and energy markets, providing open APIs for virtual power plant operators, energy aggregators, and third-party systems. This robust integration with Octopus Energy in the UK—one of Europe’s leading smart energy platforms—enables intelligent load and discharge operations while facilitating remote facility management.

AlphaESS connects over 100 partners and energy platforms, serving more than 100,000 systems across 12 countries. These innovations empower users to maximize software, tariffs, and energy markets effectively, ensuring partner integration in less than four weeks.

The company’s expansion is further reinforced by the opening of its subsidiary in Spain, its growth in the Benelux region, and ongoing developments in the Czech Republic—each underlining its local presence, implementation capability, and long-term commitment to Europe’s clean energy transition.
