Daito Kentaku Expands Business in North America
Daito Kentaku Co., Ltd., a leading Japanese real estate company headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, is expanding its business in North America. Following its emergence in the greater Los Angeles area in California, the company is set to establish its second operational base in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area of Texas. This office is expected to open in April 2026, in conjunction with the launch of their property acquisition, renovation, and resale business.
In this venture, Daito Kentaku has already acquired a total of seven properties, primarily focusing on wooden single-family homes that will undergo substantial renovations. They project to start selling these renovated properties by mid-August 2026, targeting Japanese clients interested in the American housing market.
This initiative marks a crucial step in Daito Kentaku's strategy of exporting its comprehensive services and rental management expertise cultivated in Japan to international markets. The company plans to kick off its property acquisition and renovation resale business in the U.S. in earnest starting 2024. In July 2024, they opened the office of their local subsidiary, Daito Kentaku USA, LLC, in El Segundo, California, solidifying their presence in the Los Angeles area.
The strategic expansion into Texas aims to capitalize on the projected housing demand due to population growth and economic development. By establishing an office in Dallas in April 2026 and forming a new company for brokerage and management services by July, Daito Kentaku is poised for significant growth in the region. The acquisition of these properties is just the beginning, as the company plans to enhance its business foundation in Texas and rapidly accelerate further property acquisitions and operational expansion.
Daito Kentaku is committed to swiftly establishing a robust local network and business infrastructure to support its renovation resale efforts abroad. The ambitious goal is to excel in real estate development, including the renovation resale business, aiming to manage a staggering 1.5 million units worldwide by 2029, with 50,000 of these properties located overseas.
This expansion comes at a time when the real estate market is evolving, and Daito Kentaku is positioned to leverage its innovative approaches and proven methodologies to capture a greater share of the market in the U.S. With its established track record and familiarity with the industry, Daito Kentaku is determined to build upon its successes, setting the stage for future growth while meeting the diverse needs of clients on both sides of the Pacific.
