New Partnership Offers Affordable Professional Development Opportunities for Colorado Educators

Affordable Professional Development for Educators

In a significant step towards supporting the professional growth of educators in Colorado, Colorado State University Global (CSU Global) has announced a strategic partnership with the Colorado BOCES Association. This initiative aims to provide affordable and accessible professional development opportunities designed specifically for teachers and administrators.

With education playing a pivotal role in shaping the future, this partnership reflects a commitment to fostering growth and advancement within the state's educational system. Educators across Colorado's 178 school districts will benefit from substantial tuition discounts on a range of 100% online programs, making it easier for them to enhance their skills while continuing to serve in their roles.

Dr. Audra Spicer, interim president and CEO of CSU Global, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "CSU Global is proud to partner with BOCES to support the dedicated educators who are shaping the future of Colorado. Our mission is to provide career-relevant education that fits into the lives of busy professionals, and we look forward to helping our home state's teachers reach their professional goals."

Benefits of the Partnership

The new initiative offers special tuition rates on several key programs:
  • - Master's in Teaching and Learning - Reduced to $350 per credit hour from the regular $675. This program is ranked as the best online master's in education by U.S. News & World Report.
  • - Principal Licensure - Offered at a discounted rate of $350 per credit hour, this is the only authorized asynchronous principal licensure program in Colorado.
  • - Teacher Upskilling - Teachers can enroll in 18-credit programs at a reduced rate of $335 per credit hour, helping them qualify for dual enrollment in subjects like English, Math, and History.
  • - Graduate Courses - Additional discounts are available for all other eligible graduate-level coursework and programs.

The Colorado BOCES Association's Executive Director, Dr. Dale McCall, also highlighted the importance of this partnership: "We urge teachers and administrators to utilize these high-quality programs."

Flexible Learning for Professionals

Recognizing the challenges that busy educators face, CSU Global has designed its programs to be flexible. With monthly start dates and accelerated eight-week courses, educators can pursue their academic goals without compromising their responsibilities in the classroom. This model ensures that they have the opportunity to improve their qualifications while still attending to their students' needs.

Educators can start taking advantage of these benefits immediately, creating a pathway to enhance their career growth and, ultimately, the educational support they provide to their students.
