Subgate Introduces the New SG2500 Series Security Switches

Subgate Co., Ltd., headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has announced the launch of its SG2500 series security switches, starting from June 2, 2025. The series will include two models: the SG2512GX with 8 ports and the SG2520GX with 16 ports. These switches are designed to provide robust security measures alongside 10G connectivity, enabling seamless and secure data transmission for businesses.

Key Features of SG2512GX and SG2520GX

Both the SG2512GX and SG2520GX models are equipped with 10G support, which aids in facilitating high-speed secure communications. Notably, they feature Subgate's proprietary Multi Dimension Security (MDS) engine, which intelligently analyzes behavioral traffic. This advanced technology enables automatic detection and blocking of harmful traffic without compromising the switch's performance.

PoE Models to Follow

In addition to the standard models, Subgate will also roll out Power over Ethernet (PoE) versions: the SG2512GXPoE and SG2520GXPoE. These PoE models, supporting IEEE802.3bt type4 PoE++, offer a power supply of up to 90 watts. This capability means that extensive wiring for powering devices such as wireless access points is no longer necessary, offering convenience and efficiency to network managers. It's important to note that there are restrictions on the number of ports that can utilize PoE.

SG Cloud Integration

Similar to the SG2400 series, the SG2500 series also supports SG Cloud, allowing for efficient management through the cloud platform. This feature ensures that users can easily monitor and control their network devices from anywhere, streamlining network management tasks.
