Major Trade Expositions Coming to Panama

The Panama Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (CCIAP) is gearing up to host five significant trade expositions that are expected to attract over 15,000 visitors. From March 25 to 27, 2025, the Panama Convention Center will serve as the bustling venue for these events, including EXPOCOMER, EXPO LOGÍSTICA PANAMÁ, EXPO TURISMO INTERNACIONAL, EXPO ELÉCTRICA INTERNACIONAL-PANAMÁ, and EXPO TECH.

These expos will feature around 800 exhibitor companies hailing from 30 different countries, catering to a diverse range of industries. Manuel José Paredes, the president of the Organizing Committee for Expositions and Events, expressed confidence in the satisfactory progress of the preparations, emphasizing that these events will provide a prime setting for companies to showcase their products and services. This is a pivotal opportunity for businesses to enhance visibility and cultivate new business prospects.

Previous Successes and Expectations

The success of similar events in prior years has been impressive. In 2024, the CCIAP's fairs recorded 20,000 visitors, conducted 6,000 business appointments, and generated 16,500 commercial contacts, leading to transactions valued at USD 148.2 million and an economic spillover of USD 45 million. Over the last three years, accumulated transactions have exceeded USD 410.3 million.

As the most significant commercial fair in Latin America, EXPOCOMER will celebrate its 41st edition this year, bringing together 800 companies from regions including America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. This event aims to boost commercial exchanges in sectors such as food, health, technology, fashion, and manufacturing. Additionally, it will feature international business roundtables with delegations from more than 16 countries.

On the other hand, Expo Logística Panamá is being organized in collaboration with the National Secretariat of Science and Technology. This event highlights Panama's pivotal role as a logistics hub, featuring 100 companies from the transportation sector, logistics operators, and infrastructure entities. Specialized conferences on innovation and technological advancements in the supply chain will also be held alongside the expo.

Additionally, EXPO TURISMO INTERNACIONAL will spotlight Panamanian tourism enterprises that focus on MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism as well as adventure, health, and shopping experiences for international buyers. The newly introduced EXPO ELÉCTRICA INTERNACIONAL will showcase sustainable energy solutions through 120 exhibition modules.

Finally, EXPO TECH will delve into themes surrounding digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, identifying crucial trends that are shaping the future of various industries.

Parallel Events and Accessibility

Beyond the main exhibitions, several parallel events are scheduled, including the 10th International Business Roundtable of EXPOCOMER, the Economic Forum for Public-Private Partnerships, and the awarding of the National Prize for Business Innovation 2024. The trade fairs will be open to the public daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

With such a diversified array of events and participants, the upcoming trade fairs promise to be a fantastic opportunity for networking, innovation, and growth, further solidifying Panama's reputation as a central hub for international trade and commerce.
