Black Box Appoints Sameer Batra as Chief Business Officer

In a strategic move aimed at increasing its global footprint, Black Box (BSE: 500463) (NSE: BBOX), a leading provider of digital infrastructure solutions, has named Sameer Batra as its new Chief Business Officer (CBO) for Global Systems Integration (GSI) in India and international markets. This appointment is set to fuel Black Box's growth ambitions in diverse regions including India, Asia-Pacific, Japan, the Middle East, and Africa, enabling large enterprises to modernize and scale their digital infrastructures effectively.

The backdrop for this decision is the sustained growth witnessed in these regions, primarily driven by advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud adoption, expanded data centers, networking technologies, and an increasing demand for cybersecurity solutions. As a result, Black Box is in a robust position to provide comprehensive support to clients with its all-encompassing service offerings.

According to Sanjeev Verma, CEO of Black Box, international markets represent a significant growth engine for the company, underpinned by persistent investments in infrastructure and strong client demand. "Sameer’s leadership will be crucial in assisting clients to design, implement, and manage their digital infrastructure, while propelling innovation through partnerships and growth across the board," he stated.

Sameer Batra is expected to lead the GSI international business division, further intensifying the focus on key sectors and enhancing client and partner relationships. His role will include guiding clients in redefining their infrastructure preparedness, thus allowing them to modernize, scale, and safeguard their digital environments. This aligns with Black Box's broader ambition of generating a $2 billion run-rate business.

Bringing over 30 years of extensive experience in the global IT services sector, Sameer Batra previously served as Senior Vice President at Tech Mahindra's Global Growth Office, where he spearheaded strategic growth initiatives across multiple regions. His past experiences also include various senior leadership positions at IBM, where he notably drove growth and customer success across India and the Asia-Pacific region.

Reflecting on his new role, Sameer expressed enthusiasm about joining Black Box, emphasizing the company's established global presence and diverse service offerings that align perfectly with the rising investments in digital infrastructure from international businesses. He aims to enhance the overall international business strategy and deliver long-term value for clients and stakeholders alike.
