Exploring Freelancing Choices with Anju Ishiyama for Women's Career Empowerment

Special Event for International Women's Day

In celebration of International Women's Day, TechBiz will host a unique talk event and networking meeting on March 25, 2026, at STUDIO VIZZ EBISU. The event, themed around "Creating Your Own Career and Workstyle," aims to highlight the realities and opportunities of freelancing for women.

The guest speaker for the evening will be Anju Ishiyama, who is a co-representative director of the Sharing Economy Association. She has been actively involved in promoting new workstyles that empower individuals. During the event, Ishiyama will share her insights on the realities of freelancing and how to navigate the evolving landscape. Additionally, there will be a panel discussion featuring moderators from TechBiz’s HRBIZ service, which focuses on supporting women freelancers in HR-related roles. This panel will facilitate discussions on topics related to freelancers' experiences and aspirations.

The significance of this event stems from a recent TechBiz survey that revealed many women face hesitations about becoming freelancers due to uncertainties regarding income and career progression. Despite an increasing interest in flexible work arrangements, many women feel they lack role models in the freelance space. In response, TechBiz aims to shed light on these concerns by providing a space for open dialogue and community building.
