Equip Exposition Achieves Fifth Consecutive Sold-Out Year, Expanding Opportunities for Landscape Professionals

Equip Exposition Sells Out for Fifth Year Running

Equip Exposition, held at the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC), has made headlines once again by achieving a sold-out status for the fifth consecutive year. This prestigious international exhibition for landscaping, outdoor living, and equipment is set to take place from October 20-23, 2026, drawing in an impressive number of industry professionals eager to explore innovative products and services.

Kris Kiser, the President and CEO of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI), which organizes the event, stated, "We have 1.2 million square feet of exhibit space, including the Outdoor Demo Yard. Every inch of the Kentucky Exposition Center that can be utilized for exhibition is now sold out." To visualize this scale, that's equivalent to over a square mile of exhibits—impressive enough to cover 20 football fields! This year's show promises a multitude of opportunities for landscapers, contractors, and dealers to enhance their business.

The high demand for exhibit space signals that companies eager to participate must plan strategically and secure their spots well in advance. Notably, the last exhibit spaces were sold in May 2026—an entire month earlier than the previous year. This trend showcases the ongoing growth and enthusiasm within the landscape and outdoor living industry.

As demand continues to rise, the Equip team has actively collaborated with KEC officials to re-imagine the available space and enhance the attendee experience. For the first time, they opened Freedom Hall for exhibit sales, and an expanded UTV Test Track was introduced at the prior event to elevate the overall attendee experience even further.

Kiser emphasized that the Equip Exposition isn't just about showcasing products; it’s about fostering a vibrant community of industry innovators. "Equip is epic, and people are excited to be at the show and part of this dynamic industry. This is where innovators unveil new products and where landscape contractors get hands-on experience with the latest equipment," he said.

While the exhibit space is sold out, attendees can still purchase tickets with an early bird special of just $30, available until September 10, 2026. The price increases to $60 on September 11 and reaches $120 on the event's opening day, October 20, 2026. Last year's edition of Equip Exposition set a new attendance record with nearly 30,000 registered participants at KEC, underlining its significance as a key event in the industry.

Looking to the future, Equip Exposition plans to embark on a two-city rotation starting in 2029, with Orlando set to host the event that year. Subsequently, the show will return to Louisville in 2030, ensuring that it remains a staple in the landscape and outdoor living industries.

For attendees aiming to navigate the expansive exhibit area—greater than 20 football fields—organizers recommend utilizing the Equip Expo app, which is sponsored by CASE Construction Equipment. This app guides attendees to prioritize and find their must-see exhibitors efficiently.

In addition, Equip Exposition serves as a crucial platform for networking and learning. A variety of events, including peer-to-peer networking sessions, keynote speeches, and educational opportunities form part of the agenda. Highlights this year include a Welcome Reception at Churchill Downs, a keynote address by HGTV’s Mike Holmes, and a Women’s Leadership Reception featuring media entrepreneur Susan Packard.

For those interested in attending, the time to act is now. Registration and hotel bookings can be done through the official Equip Exposition website: www.equipexposition.com. Journalists are encouraged to obtain media credentials in advance to cover the event comprehensively.

Overall, the Equip Exposition stands as a vibrant hub where innovation thrives and industry professionals gather to advance their knowledge and business capabilities in the landscape and outdoor living space.
