The Japan Quality Assurance Organization (JQA) is set to host a pair of informative seminars aimed at addressing the complexities surrounding medical device testing and certification in Japan. Titled "Evaluator Insights: Key Considerations for Navigating Medical Device Testing and Certification," these seminars will take place in Tokyo and Osaka on August 7 and August 21, 2026, respectively.

- Tokyo: August 7, 2026, from 13:30 to 17:00 (Registration starts at 13:00)
- Osaka: August 21, 2026, from 13:00 to 16:30 (Registration starts at 12:30)
  • - Format: In-person only (no online attendance)
  • - Capacity: 180 participants in Tokyo and 60 in Osaka

  • - Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Regulations: Overview of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Act (PMDA) and typical stumbling blocks encountered during the certification process.
  • - Electrical Safety Testing: Understanding IEC 60601-1:2005+A1:2012+A2:2020 evaluation criteria and frequent areas of concern.
  • - EMC Testing: Key similarities and differences between IEC 61326-2-6:2025 and IEC 60601-1-2:2014+A1:2020.
  • - Q&A Session: Engage with our expert evaluators for further discussion and clarification.
