On December 22, 2025, Oversonic Robotics, based in Italy, revealed a groundbreaking collaboration with STMicroelectronics, a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing. This agreement highlights the introduction of custom-designed cognitive humanoid robots, named RoBee, into the operational processes across ST's various facilities worldwide. The deployment of RoBee commenced at ST's advanced packaging and testing facility in Malta, showcasing the potential of humanoid robotics in improving production efficiency. RoBee stands out as the only humanoid robot certified for application in both industrial and healthcare environments, having already established a presence in various Italian companies and participated in experimental programs within hospitals.
