Alaska Airlines Launches Historic Nonstop Flight from Seattle to Rome



Alaska Airlines has taken a monumental step by introducing its first-ever nonstop service connecting Seattle to Rome, Italy. This new route symbolizes Alaska’s expansion into the European market and marks a significant milestone in its growth as a global airline. The service commenced on April 28 and will continue through October 23.

A New Era in Travel



Operating daily, this seasonal route establishes a direct link between the Emerald City and the Eternal City. The inaugural flight departed from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) at 5:30 PM and landed at Rome's Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport (FCO) at 1:15 PM local time, allowing passengers ample time to explore Rome’s historical sites, delightful cuisine, and stunning landscapes.

CEO Ben Minicucci describes the launch as a crucial step towards fulfilling the long-term growth strategy of Alaska Airlines. He emphasized how the new service enhances Seattle's status as a major international gateway and acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the crew in ensuring safety, attention, and performance on every flight.
