Voltage Energy Secures Groundbreaking 2kV Certification from UL Solutions

In a significant milestone for renewable energy technology, Voltage Energy Group has recently been awarded the industry’s first complete 2kV certification for its Electrical Balance of System (EBOS) solutions. Announced in December 2025, UL Solutions has officially recognized Voltage Energy's products under the UL 9703 standards for their innovative 2kV systems applicable to photovoltaic (PV) cable projects. This certification represents a major advancement as the industry transitions from the traditional 1,500V Direct Current (DC) to higher efficiency 2kV systems.

As solar projects at the utility scale increasingly move toward 2kV systems, this shift not only promises to enhance energy yield but also aims to lower investment costs while boosting long-term reliability. Voltage Energy’s EBOS solutions, which include their well-known product lines LYNX®, IBEX®, IBEX PLUS®, and ALEX®, passed the rigorous verification tests set forth by UL Solutions, demonstrating their capacity to meet demanding industry standards.
