On June 15, 2026, Zehitomo, a matching service for everyday needs, will launch "freee Invoice Card Payment" in collaboration with freee Inc. This initiative aims to assist businesses in managing their cash flow more effectively. Registered businesses can alleviate the burden of upfront expenses such as materials and outsourcing by participating in this campaign.

Background of the Initiative


Uncovering Cash Flow Challenges in the Construction Industry


To understand the cash flow challenges faced by its registered businesses, Zehitomo conducted a survey among 1,227 businesses (866 in the construction sector and 361 from various other industries). The results revealed that while cash flow issues are common across sectors, they are particularly pronounced among construction professionals.

In the survey of 866 construction companies, 57.5% reported feeling apprehensive about their cash flow. Furthermore, 33.6% cited "delays in large project payments" as a significant concern, while 32.4% struggled with managing late or uncollected payments. This noteworthy data indicates a prevailing obstacle: construction businesses often have to pay for materials and outsourced labor before receiving payment once the job is finished.

Given these insights, it's clear that there is a high demand for solutions that can support cash flow after securing contracts. This issue, while particularly severe in construction, resonates across all business sectors. To address this, Zehitomo is rolling out the "freee Invoice Card Payment" service for all registered businesses.

Details of the Zehitomo × freee Campaign


The "freee Invoice Card Payment" service allows businesses to convert invoice payments, typically settled through bank transfers, into credit card transactions. By registering invoice details, businesses can have their payments handled by the service, enabling them to time their payment in accordance with their credit card due date.

This service offers several benefits: businesses can extend their payment timing by up to 60 days. It enables payments to suppliers or contractors that do not accept credit cards, and no special card issuance is needed, allowing users to start using the service from the same day. During the campaign, there is an added incentive: the fee equivalent (3%) will be rewarded back to businesses as Zehitomo points, known as "Z Coins", rendering the service virtually free to use.

  • - Postpone Payments by Up to 60 Days: Businesses can retain funds until their credit card due date, alleviating the immediate pressure of upfront costs.
  • - Available for Non-Credit-Compatible Vendors: This service can be utilized for payments to suppliers and contractors who typically only accept bank transfers.
  • - Immediate Availability: Users can leverage their current credit cards without the need for a new card issuance.
  • - No Effective Service Fees During Campaign: Businesses get back 3% of their payment fees as Z Coins throughout the campaign period (June 15 to August 14, 2026).
