Discovering the Artistic Expressions at Voigtländer Exhibition Vol. 6 in Ginza

Voigtländer Exhibition Vol. 6: A Celebration of Photography

From September 4 to September 9, 2023, the Voigtländer Exhibition Vol. 6 will be held at the Matsuzaki Ginza, featuring diverse expressive works shot with Cosina's Voigtländer lenses. Organized by acclaimed photographer Hideo Omura, this exhibition showcases a mix of invited artists and public submissions, all adhering to the theme of utilizing the unique characteristics of Voigtländer lenses.

This year's exhibition brings together renowned photographer Herbie Yamauchi and comedian duo Kakaya among others, offering attendees a rare opportunity to appreciate the artistry of photography. The meticulous attention to detail and the different textures of expression are evident throughout the showcased works.

Collaborative Efforts of Afro Atelier

The Afro Atelier plays a crucial role in the exhibition by providing high-quality printing and layout support. Owned by Afro Co., Ltd., a respected name in the visual arts industry, Afro Atelier is known for its expert printing services managed by experienced printing directors. Their team excels in producing prints for photography exhibitions, portfolios, and fine art reproductions, ensuring the highest quality from start to finish.

To achieve the desired visual reproduction, all prints are made using custom printer profiles tailored to specific paper types. This level of detail is also applied to monochrome prints, where special adjustments are made to produce stunning tonal range and clarity across highlights and shadows.

For this exhibition, Afro Atelier is utilizing Ilford Gold Fibre Gloss paper, which is 100% cotton rag. This choice reflects a commitment to quality, reminiscent of traditional baryta photo papers, boasting excellent color range, sharpness, and a fine gloss level that enhances both color and monochrome works.
